Monsoon Himachal is underrated — lush apple orchards, roaring waterfalls, and crowd-free Manali–Kasol routes. Here is how to plan a safe, scenic road trip.

Most travelers skip Himachal during the rains, but June–September transforms the valleys into a green paradise. Stick to lower-altitude circuits like Manali, Kasol, and Bir, avoid landslide-prone stretches after dark, and pack waterproof layers.

Our favourite monsoon stops: Jogini Falls near Vashisht, Tirthan Valley homestays, and paragliding in Bir when winds cooperate. Roads are quieter, hotels offer 30–40% off, and the photography is unmatched.
